Plastik kommt aus dem griechischen

"plastiki" und bezeichnet die formende (additive) Kunst der Bildhauerei (Ton, Gips).

 

Im Gegensatz zur Skulptur (lat."sculptura", schnitzen, bilden, meiseln), die eine subtraktives Verfahren darstellt (Stein, Metall, Holz).

My paintings with statues- so-called "paintues"- are a mixed technique. The painting in the background is oil on canvas and the statue in the front is built of Super Sculpey clay (used for statues and masks in cinema) burned and then coloured with acrylic paint.
